Implementation date and time

February 2, 2024 (Friday) 14:30-16:00

Equipment outline

In recent years, as the importance of a sustainable society and environmental issues such as decarbonization has increased, the Toyosu Pier area is based on the town development vision "Toyosu Green Eco Island Concept" formulated by Koto Ward in June 2011. Pioneering environmental urban development is underway through public-private collaboration.
The smart energy network has been adopted as an energy system for environmental urban development that aims to save energy, reduce CO2, and improve energy security in the entire Toyosu area, which has the Toyosu Market, which is a core market in the Tokyo metropolitan area, and is undergoing redevelopment.
In line with the progress of urban development, we are gradually expanding the smart energy network as infrastructure that supports the advancement of urban functions by improving environmental friendliness and disaster prevention/mitigation.

This is a device that can generate electricity from heat that was previously wasted.
This device eliminates the need to spend money on discarding heat, and contributes to a decarbonized society by generating electricity and efficiently using heat.
With this system, electricity generated from waste heat from factories, etc. is stored in a battery, and by utilizing this energy, it is possible to provide a stable power supply. Through this, we aim to strengthen the backup system for energy supply in local communities.

CO2 reduction amount approximately 9,124 kg/unit
*However, if the operating rate is 80% and the power generation capacity (effective power generation output) is 3 kW.
It may fluctuate depending on temperature conditions such as hot or cold water.
